Job summary

Minto is seeking a Manager of Complex Accounting in Ottawa to lead the review of complex financial transactions, develop memos, and implement new accounting standards. You will serve as a technical advisor to the finance team and work closely with external auditors.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required.
• 7+ years of progressive technical accounting experience involving IFRS/ASPE.
• Experience in public practice and/or real estate is an asset.
• Previous experience leading a team of finance professionals.
• Strong ability to analyze complex issues and recommend solutions.
• Proficiency in IFRS and ASPE with demonstrated technical application.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (NewStar, Yardi) and consolidation tools (OneStream an asset).

Your place in our story

Reporting to the Director, Financial Reporting, the Manager, Complex Accounting is responsible for reviewing and analyzing complex financial transactions and accounting issues, including preparing technical memos. You'll lead research, analysis, and implementation of new accounting standards and related disclosures while serving as a technical advisor across the finance team.

Hiring pay range rate:$120,000 - $140,000
