Impact

The Cisco Presales Manager is responsible for our North American Cisco Technical Architect team. This individual is directly responsible for ensuring our Cisco Pre-Sales team of TAs are effective in their roles to reflect our strategic priorities as a company to achieve our financial objectives. This role will also be responsible for the team’s interaction and interoperability with other peer Business Development teams and segments of the organization such as Sales and Marketing. This role will require strong people management and analytical skills for reviewing the business and suggesting new strategies to enhance how the TAs operate.

Reporting to the Director of Cisco Business Development, you will be responsible for the day to day management of team activities, design and execution of growth strategies in territory and working closely with Sales leaders across the region.

What you’ll do:

  • Being responsible for recruiting, developing and managing a team of Cisco Technical Architects
  • Ongoing mentoring and development of Cisco Technical Architects; re-enforcing best practice across the team
  • Aligning to standardized pre-sales processes and to ensure processes in place are effective
  • Identifying areas to improve efficiency and effectiveness of internal pre-sales processes with respect to sales and supply chain teams
  • Acting as a Softchoice Cisco brand ambassador
  • Being responsible for Softchoice sales of Cisco products and services within the business area
  • Creating/building relationships with Cisco and key Cisco partners, especially at the national and regional level
  • Collaborating with Partner Marketing & the Vendor Engagement Manager to create/propose marketing plans, initiatives, incentives and campaigns to drive Cisco brand awareness and revenue
  • Providing Cisco support for Softchoice sales organizations
  • Planning/conducting executive and sales presentations to customers, the Cisco community, and to the Softchoice sales organization
  • Supporting direct reports by participating and leading in client meetings and engaging other corporate resources as required
  • Directly supporting customers as required, such as dealing with escalations and complex solutions.
  • Adopting new Cisco initiatives and programs pro-actively and act as Cisco subject matter expert
  • Refining processes and tools as needed
Qualifications

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years management experience
  • Must possess experience in the technology industry; sales experience preferred
  • Must possess a high degree of Cisco product and pricing programs knowledge
  • Knowledge of Softchoice’s Keystone managed services offerings preferred but not required
  • Strong MS Office required
  • Strategic thinker with strong desire to develop a Team
  • You exhibit strong critical thinking, innovation and leadership skills.
  • Your key traits are passion, creativity, initiative, collaboration and the ability to motivate and innovate.
  • You are comfortable working in a fast paced, changing environment and possess extraordinary leadership skills.
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience, preferred
