Qualifications

Job description
As a Business Development Representative Manager at Vention

You’ll lead coach and scale our Business Development Representative (BDR) team enabling the Sales and Growth functions to expand pipeline and accelerate this role you’ll set team objectives, define performance frameworks and lead the execution of best‑in‑class processes that convert prospects into qualified opportunities. You’ll be a key leader driving growth strategy collaborating cross‑functionally and scaling our go‑to‑market engine.

What you’ll do
  • Drive the drumbeat - create daily and weekly objectives, keep team accountable to hit the metrics
  • Train other members of the BDR Team to identify contacts and create qualified opportunities.
  • Execute and champion the sales strategy to achieve sales goals, increase sales productivity and achieve key performance indicators.
  • Listen to sales calls; ensure all steps in cadence are respected, lead morning stand‑up meetings and join client calls to help close more complex deals.
  • Build call scripts, cadences and email templates.
  • Ensure BDR Team members improve performance and abilities over time by providing coaching and feedback in recurring weekly one‑on‑ones.
  • Plan for hiring and onboarding new BDRs.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams on field events, targeted ad and nurture campaigns.
  • Work closely with Sales and other members of the Sales Leadership team to improve opportunity management and qualification processes.
  • Provide structured feedback to Growth and Marketing on lead quality, messaging effectiveness and campaign impact.
  • Report weekly and monthly on BDR performance, pipeline contribution and conversion rates across the funnel.
  • Collaborate with RevOps to ensure CRM data integrity and consistency in reporting.
  • Work in collaboration with Content and Product Marketing to develop effective messaging for outbound communications to your teams’ assigned accounts.
  • Help team members with their career planning and development ensuring that they realize their full potential in sales at Vention.
Qualifications

What you bring to the table

  • 3 years of managing sales / business development teams with a demonstrated track record of high performance
  • 8 years of experience in technology‑based sales / business development environment
  • Bachelor degree in a related field
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken); fluent French an asset
  • Experience working with Salesforce and other sales productivity and reporting tools
  • Strong background in developing and measuring sales metrics KPIs and targets
