Job summary

Doane Grant Thornton LLP in Kingston seeks a Manager, Assurance (Audit) to lead and execute client engagements across multiple sectors, ensuring exceptional service. You will plan teams, communicate expectations, and proactively solve problems while developing junior staff.

As part of a dynamic Kingston office, you will drive business development, build meaningful client relationships, and contribute to the firm's growth and strategy, embracing a collaborative culture and professional growth

Qualifications

• Completed a CPA designation, with a minimum of 3 years of post-designation experience.
• Experience working with owner managed private business clients within a public practice scope; PSAS or US GAAP experience would be asset.
• Demonstrated success in business development, advisory and team management.
• A team player able to rally resources and work with others to meet client needs and exceed expectations.

Responsibilities

• Leading and executing client engagements, including reviews and compilations with exceptional client service across varied business sectors.
• Planning and leading teams, ensuring clear communication of client expectations.
• Proactive problem solving with the team and the client.
• Contributing to office business plan execution and leadership in the firm.
• Developing relationships with clients and leveraging Doane Grant Thornton's service lines.
• Coaching and performance management of the practice, conducting timely reviews and training junior members.

As a Manager, Assurance [Audit] your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and executing client engagements, including reviews and compilations while providing exceptional client service to a wide variety of business sectors
• Planning and leading teams, ensuring that client expectations are clearly communicated
• Proactive problem solving with the team and the client
• Being a leader in the firm by actively contributing to the development and execution of the office business plan
• Contributing to new business development by understanding Doane Grant Thornton and its service lines, as well as utilizing your credibility with clients
• Participating in the coaching and performance management process of the practice by conducting timely performance reviews, providing ongoing feedback and training to develop junior team members

Our salary ranges are reviewed annually, and where you land within the range depends on a mix of factors—your background, your skills, and how your contributions align with internal equity. To help start the conversation, the current salary range for this role is $83,600–$114,950 in Kingston. If the role is available in other locations, the range may differ to reflect local market factors.
