Manager of ACTT Barrie and South Georgian Bay - Full-Time, Permanent - Barrie/Collingwood, ON

The Canadian Mental Health Association, Simcoe County Branch seeks a Manager of ACTT Barrie and South Georgian Bay, who, in accordance with the agency’s policies, standards, and guidelines, is responsible for the day‑to‑day supervision of ACTT and operates as the senior clinician. They also assist as a co‑lead for ACTT staff in coordination with the Psychiatrist.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the initial and on‑going development of the ACTT in terms of assessment and intervention tools, resource files, and various policy and procedure issues.
  • Facilitate daily program clinical meetings and act as the senior clinician on the team.
  • Organize and supervise operation of daily and clinical programs.
  • Work as part of a leadership team to ensure effective program development and quality assurance.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of effective connections with hospital and community service providers.
  • Carry a small case load.
  • Conduct in-depth initial and comprehensive assessments of client systems using a wide range of measurement tools/sources of information.
  • Provide the team, client, family, and others with consultation/education related to substance misuse issues.
  • Coordinate and monitor individualized client treatment plans.
  • Provide counselling to assist clients in accomplishing their goals and managing their symptoms/day‑to‑day stressors.
  • Access, coordinate, and advocate for services/resources to meet client needs.
  • Provide on‑call crisis intervention to ACTT Staff
  • Directs the day to day clinical operations of the ACT team, including scheduling staff work hours to assure appropriate coverage for the day, evening, weekend and holiday shifts and on‑call hours.
  • Leads the daily organizational staff meetings and treatment planning meetings.
  • Continually evaluates the status of clients and does appropriate planning and coordination of treatment activities to ensure immediate attention to their changing needs.
  • Directs and coordinates the client admission process.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum eight (8) years combined education and experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years management experience.
  • Must be a professional under the Regulated Health Professions Act (nursing, psychology, or occupational therapy)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) Designation preferred.
  • Must have access to a vehicle, a valid Ontario driver’s license, and adequate automobile insurance.
  • Fluency in French or another second language would be an asset.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
SALARY SCALE:
  • Manager RN (RHP Level 5): $88,907 - $94,367 *per annum
  • Manager (Direct Service Level 2): $85,777 - $91,619 *per annum
HOURS OF WORK:
  • 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Attendance at special events required from time‑to‑time.
  • Able to work within a flexible framework to respond to client/program needs.
