Manulife is seeking a Manager for AI Governance Program Delivery in Toronto. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Risk Management, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Program Management, Project Management, or Transformation experience.
  • Experience managing enterprise technology implementations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • Experience developing business requirements and coordinating testing activities.
  • Experience managing multiple initiatives with competing priorities.

Job description

The Manager, AI Governance Program Delivery is responsible for leading the delivery and operational execution of key AI governance initiatives, capabilities, and platforms. This role sits in AI Model Validation & Governance (AIMVG), and will work closely with Technology, Architecture, Risk, Compliance, vendors and business stakeholders to successfully implement and operationalize AI governance processes and tools across the enterprise.

Position Responsibilities
AI Governance Program Management (35%)
  • Lead planning and execution of new technology solution, ensuring delivery against scope, timelines, objectives.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, milestones, RAID logs, and dependency trackers.
  • Facilitate cross-functional working groups and governance forums.
  • Identify delivery risks and escape issues requiring leadership decisions.
Platform Delivery & Vendor Management (30%)
  • Support implementation and ongoing enhancement of AI governance platforms and related technologies.
  • Manage requirements gathering, backlog prioritization, traceability, and documentation.
  • Coordinate vendor activities, deliverables, issue management, and enhancement requests.
  • Track implementation progress and ensure commitments are delivered on schedule.
  • Support platform release planning and change management activities.
Business Readiness, UAT & Process Implementation (20%)
  • Lead business readiness assessments and operational deployment activities.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing, defect management, remediation tracking, and retesting efforts.
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to ensure solutions meet requirements.
  • Support development of future‑state governance operating models and workflows.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Enablement (15%)
  • Partner with business units, technology teams, risk functions, and model owners to drive adoption of governance processes and tools.
  • Coordinate communications, training activities, and implementation support.
  • Gather stakeholder feedback and develop recommendations for process and platform improvements.
  • Support audit, regulatory, and internal review requests related to program activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Risk Management, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Program Management, Project Management, or Transformation experience.
  • Experience managing enterprise technology implementations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • Experience developing business requirements and coordinating testing activities.
  • Experience managing multiple initiatives with competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong communication skill (must have)
  • Communicate with clarity
  • Financial services experience.
  • Governance, Risk, Compliance, Audit, or Operational Risk experience.
  • Experience working with SaaS, PaaS platforms and third‑party vendors.
  • Knowledge of AI, machine learning, or Responsible AI governance concepts.
  • PMP, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent certification.

Salary range is expected to be between

$113,000.00 CAD - $163,000.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job‑related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
