A leading research university in Halifax is seeking a Manager, Academic to oversee medical residency programs and support educational initiatives. The role includes managing budgets, ensuring compliance with standards, and coordinating student experiences. Candidates should have an undergraduate degree and significant experience in academic program management. This position supports a hybrid work environment and values diversity.
This is a provisional classification. Formal regular review classification procedures may be initiated at any time by the incumbent or supervisor after the incumbent has worked a minimum of six months in the role.

Job Summary
The Department of Medicine is a clinical academic department within the Faculty of Medicine in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It is a large and complex department with over 450 faculty members organized into 15 divisions and spread over several sites across the Maritimes. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer/ CFO , the Manager, Academic will lead and manage our academic programs for education and research including undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing professional development with a focus on strategic growth, academic excellence and learner success.
