Job summary

A historic hotel in Alberta is looking for a Maintenance Worker to ensure the upkeep of our facilities, including pools and guest rooms. Responsibilities include performing repairs, yard work, and assisting other departments. The ideal candidate has a Grade 12 Diploma, strong interpersonal skills, and a valid driver's license. This full-time role is essential for maintaining a pristine environment for our guests.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Diploma and/or education in a trade or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract.

Maintenance Worker Forest Park Hotel Jasper Alberta

Location: 76 Connaught Dr, Jasper, AB

Salary: $21.50 an hour - Full-time

This role maintains our spaces pristine and inviting, ensuring guests enjoy the beauty of our historic lodges, hotels, cabins, and properties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain upkeep of all facilities including pools, restaurants, guest rooms, and meeting rooms.
• Complete basic repairs in guest rooms and other areas, assisting supervisors and the Maintenance Manager with major repairs.
• Perform yard work as required including snow removal, gardening, mowing lawns, etc.
• Encourage and participate in safe work practices.
• Assist other departments as required, including guest services and security.
• Report to the Maintenance Manager and complete all assigned projects and tasks.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Diploma and/or education in a trade or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract.
• Creative thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, pool treatment, and painting preferred (on‑site training provided).
• Ability to manage large workloads, multitask, and work flexibly during day (7 am–3 pm) and night (3 pm–11 pm) shifts.
• Class 4 Alberta driver’s license is an asset.
• Consent to a criminal record check.
