Job summary

A maintenance services provider in New Brunswick is seeking a diligent Maintenance Worker to perform daily maintenance tasks and ensure the property remains safe, clean, and presentable. The role includes inspecting the property, notifying supervisors of repairs, monitoring health & safety concerns, and maintaining the overall appearance of the site. Ideal candidates should possess a valid driver’s license and have at least 1 year of related experience, with additional skills in trade knowledge considered an asset.

Qualifications

  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete thorough daily inspections of the property.
  • Notify direct supervisor of required repairs in a timely manner.
  • Monitor the property for health & safety concerns.
  • Ensure proper condition for inspections.
  • Remove ice and snow from entrances and walkways.
  • Clear litter from the property and empty receptacles.
  • Maintain the overall appearance of the property.
  • Communicate with stakeholders for work coordination.
  • Assist with 'set-up' and 'tear-down' of materials.

Skills

Job Information

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Maintenance Worker to join our client's team in Saint John, New Brunswick.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing daily maintenance tasks and providing customer service to ensure the property remains safe, clean, and presentable for customers, staff, and tenants. Your attention to detail and commitment to upkeep will play a key role in maintaining a welcoming and functional environment.

Responsibilities
  • Complete thorough daily inspections of the property
  • Notify direct supervisor of required repairs of the property in a timely manner
  • Monitor the property for health & safety concerns and action accordingly
  • Ensure that specific areas of the property are in proper condition for inspections
  • Remove ice and snow from entrances, walkways, and other areas as required
  • Ensure litter receptacles are empty, and that litter is cleared from the property
  • Preserve the "curb appeal" of the property ensuring the overall appearance of the center is maintained to a high standard
  • Communicate with appropriate stakeholders (i.e., colleagues, tradespeople) to assist in coordination of work requirements
  • Assist other departments with "set-up" and "tear-down" of materials
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of a trade or HVAC, etc., is an asset
