Overview

Maintenance Technician (Toolroom Equipment Maintenance) — We are seeking a detail-oriented and technical professional to oversee the calibration, maintenance, and repair of measurement instruments. In this role, you will manage the tool room inventory and asset lifecycle, ensuring all tools and equipment meet accuracy and compliance standards. You will support our production and quality teams by ensuring precision tools are calibrated, available, and fully operational.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Salary

Salary: $2,000 - $2,700

Key Responsibilities

1. Calibration & Maintenance
   • Perform routine scheduled calibration of basic measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, gauges, torque wrenches).
   • Coordinate with external vendors for equipment repair and calibration services.
   • Update and file calibration reports to ensure accurate documentation.
2. Tool Room & Inventory
   • Handle daily tool crib operations, including issuing, receiving, and tracking tools.
   • Organize tool storage and perform stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
   • Inspect returned tools for damages and report wear and tear for replacement.
3. Assist in updating the asset database and physical verification of equipment.
4. Support the disposal process of old or obsolete assets.
5. Perform data entry and general administrative tasks related to tool usage.

Qualifications

• NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Quality Control, or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant experience in equipment calibration, precision measurement, or tool room management is preferred. Experience with ISO 9001 or ISO 17025 environments is an advantage.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in using and maintaining precision measuring instruments (e.g., Vernier calipers, micrometers).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office) for database management and reporting.
