Dessert Holdings is seeking a Maintenance Technician II (Millwright) located in London, ON. You will provide mechanical expertise for installation and ongoing maintenance of plant equipment and production assets, ensuring reliable operation and safety.

The role requires a valid Millwright license (433A), willingness to pursue a Class B Refrigeration License, and experience in continuous process manufacturing, preferably in food/pharma.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Hold a valid Millwright license (433A).
• Willing to attain Class "B" Operator Refrigeration License in-house.
• Previous millwright/maintenance experience in continuous process manufacturing preferred, especially food/pharma.

Responsabilidades

• Provide mechanical expertise for installation and maintenance of plant equipment and production assets.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and low voltage electrical failures and identify root causes.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and process work orders.
• Identify high-risk downtime areas and help minimize downtime in a fast-paced production environment.
• Complete maintenance reports and logs to support maintenance systems.
• Maintain good housekeeping in work areas and maintenance shop.
• Be proactive in fault detection and communicate with departments.
• Ensure safe operations and adherence to safety and quality policies.

Dessert Holdings is looking for a Maintenance Technician II (Millwright) to join our team based in London, ON. This individual will provide mechanical expertise and support the facility in mechanical installation and maintenance of plant equipment and production assets. This position performs all duties assigned to maintenance personnel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide mechanical expertise and support the facility in mechanical installation and maintenance of plant equipment and production assets.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and low voltage electrical failures, identifying the root cause and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Perform routine Preventative Maintenance and Work Order tasks as requested.
• Identify high-risk downtime areas in a fast pass production environment and work together to minimize downtime.
• Complete maintenance reports and logs as required in supporting effective maintenance systems.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices in work areas and in the maintenance shop.
• Be observant and take initiative when a fault is detected.
• Liaise with other departments within facility, ensuring effective communication.
• Work effectively in a processing environment without jeopardizing food safety.
• Adherence to all safety & quality policies and procedures.
• Work in Maintenance team with Team Lead and other team member while reporting Maintenance Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Hold a valid Millwright license (433A)
• Be willing to attain your Class "B" Operator Refrigeration License in-house.
• Previous experience as a millwright or maintenance technician in a continuous process manufacturing environment, preferably in food or pharmaceuticals, is preferred.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and exercise effective judgment.
• Solid mechanical troubleshooting ability
• Excellent attendance record and demonstrated reliability, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to collaborate effectively.
• Be able to work overtime if required for vacation coverage, projects and audit preparation.
• Must be able to work 12 hour rotating continental shift schedule (2 weeks days & 2 weeks nights)

Schedule

• The job requires working 12-hour continental shifts, which rotates every two weeks.
• Sunday to Saturday - The shift runs from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm then the opposite for nights.
