Job summary

Cintas Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for the 2nd shift at our Halifax, NS facility. You will help repair, maintain, install and troubleshoot industrial equipment used in our laundry operations, including conveyors, boilers and washers/dryers.

You will perform preventive maintenance, address safety issues, and keep maintenance records up to date.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience repairing industrial processing equipment in an industrial environment or in the military.
• Ability to read maintenance literature printed in English.
• Experience with and ability to read a blueprint.
• Ability to stand for up to 7 hours in an 8 hour shift.
• High School Diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an industrial laundry facility by repairing, maintaining, installing and troubleshooting equipment (washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyors, boilers).
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance and monitor safety concerns.
• Assist with indoor/outdoor housekeeping and maintaining maintenance records.

Job Description

Cintas is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to assist with maintaining an industrial laundry facility. Responsibilities include assisting with repairing, maintaining, installing and troubleshooting industrial equipment, systems and components including, but not limited to, washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyor systems and boilers; assisting with performing preventive/predictive maintenance; resolving safety concerns; performing indoor and outdoor housekeeping; monitoring inventory suppliesand maintaining maintenance records.

Skills/Qualifications

Required

• 2+ years'experience repairing industrial processing equipment in an industrial environment or in the military
• Ability to read maintenance literature printed in English
• Experience with and ability to read a blueprint
• Ability to stand for up to 7 hours in an 8 hour shift
