Hotel Equities, a multi award winning hotel and development management company, is currently seeking a remarkable Maintenance Technician for our Holiday Inn in Lloydminster, Alberta.

About the Role:

The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the hotel’s facilities and equipment are operating efficiently and safely to provide guests with a comfortable and pleasant stay. This position involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and executing repairs across various systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building infrastructure. The technician will work proactively to identify potential problems before they impact operations, thereby minimizing downtime and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and functionality. Collaboration with other hotel departments is essential to prioritize maintenance tasks and respond promptly to guest requests or emergencies. Ultimately, this role supports the overall guest experience by maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-functioning environment throughout the property.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, painting, drywall, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate maintenance equipment safely.
  • Familiar with hotel lock systems.
  • Working knowledge of PTAC units.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing trades.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations such as OSHA.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience working in a hotel or hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
