Job description
Overview

Our automotive manufacturing client is looking for a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative, planned, and emergency maintenance in a Just-In-Time / Just-In-Sequence automotive production environment. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, and installing equipment to maintain safe, high-quality, and efficient operations.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative, planned, and emergency maintenance on production equipment.
  • Respond to line calls, troubleshoot, and repair machinery to minimize downtime.
  • Install and commission new plant equipment as required.
  • Modify machinery to support safety, quality, and efficiency improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and program PLCs (Allen-Bradley RSLogix; Siemens for GM equipment).
  • Work with ABB robots (6-axis, 7-axis) and Keyence camera systems.
  • Perform general facility maintenance (carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical).
  • Fabricate fixtures, workstations, and tooling as needed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Follow all safety protocols including Lock-Out / Tag-Out procedures.
  • Participate in IATF 16949, CSR, and ISO 14001 compliance initiatives.
  • Authority to stop production for safety or quality concerns.
Qualifications

  • Strong PLC programming / troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley RSLogix, Siemens).

  • Pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting.
