What will your role involve?

As a Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Handle general maintenance work such as minor carpentry, door and hardware repairs, painting and drywall patching.
• Assist with building operations as needed to keep facilities running smoothly.
• Install and repair trim, doors, moulding and cabinetry.
• Repair or refinish furniture and fixtures as required.
• Safely use and maintain a range of power tools and equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and urgent issues to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
• Support other team members and contractors as needed to complete work efficiently and on time.

To excel in this role, you should be:

• Minimum of two to three years of previous experience considered an asset
• Completed Grade 12 education
• Clean driver’s abstract required
• Able to use basic power tools and complete basic building maintenance
• Basic command of the English language (written and verbal)
• Exceptional skills in communications, organization, interpersonal and time‑management
• Plumbing knowledge would be considered an asset
• Proven experience in exercising good judgment under pressure
• Physically fit, able to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods of time and lift in excess of 25 kilograms
• Carpentry/construction skills considered an asset
• Strong customer care and communication skills
