Maintenance Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform routine checks and repairs on various equipment. This role involves servicing machinery such as conveyors, palletizers, wrappers, depalletizers, and labelers, ensuring safety standards are upheld at all times. You will troubleshoot equipment and support operators in resolving malfunctions while participating in team training and collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily routine checks on equipment to detect damages or repair needs.
  • Service machines including conveyors, palletizers, wrappers, depalletizers, and labelers.
  • Complete production line assignments while maintaining strict safety standards.
  • Maintain and repair PLC, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical machinery.
  • Troubleshoot equipment, machines, and associated hardware with minimal supervision.
  • Support operators in correcting equipment malfunctions.
  • Participate in the development of team members through training and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems and all health, safety, and legal regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • 3 years' maintenance experience in a Canadian manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, repair, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
  • Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and find parts.
  • Electromechanical competency is an asset (sensors, drives, HMI, etc.).
  • Experience with dismantling and assembly of equipment and preventive maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in the beverage filling and/or Tetra Pak industry is nice to have.
  • Pharmaceutical experience is an asset.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Fast learner with a proactive approach to enhancing skills.

Work Environment

The role is set in a fast-paced manufacturing GMP environment with a total of 40 maintenance technicians on site, reporting to one of the six maintenance leaders depending on your line assignment. With 700 production staff and 1000 employees in total, the candidate must bring their own tools to the workplace.

The pay range for this position is $66,560.00 - $76,960.00/yr.
