Job summary

Linde Canada Inc. is seeking a certified Journeyman Millwright to perform hands-on maintenance on rotating equipment and high‑pressure piping in an industrial setting. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pumps, compressors, valves, and related systems, while planning and coordinating maintenance activities using EAM.

On‑call rotations and overtime may be required to support plant operations. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience, strong problem‑solving

Qualifications

  • Certified Journeyman Millwright with industrial experience.
  • 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and maintenance docs.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble and reassemble rotating equipment like pumps, gearboxes, and compressors.
  • Repair or replace bearings, seals, gears, and structural parts.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain compressors, pumps, valves and related systems.
  • Install, repair, and maintain high‑pressure piping (threaded and welded).
  • Perform preventive and reactive maintenance to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and productivity improvements.
  • Plan and execute maintenance activities using EAM, coordinate parts procurement, document work.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations for safe, on‑schedule projects.
  • Maintain accurate repair logs and maintenance records.

What you will enjoy doing*
  • In this role, you will work hands-on with rotating equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, and compressors, performing disassembly and reassembly activities to repair or replace components including bearings, seals, gears, and structural parts
  • You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of mechanical systems, including compressors, pumps, blowers, valves, and other rotating equipment, helping ensure safe and reliable plant operations
  • The role includes installing, repairing, and maintaining high-pressure piping systems, including both threaded and welded piping applications
  • You will perform both preventive and reactive maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support operational performance
  • A key part of the role is identifying opportunities for cost savings, productivity improvements, and operational efficiencies within the plant
  • Using the computerized maintenance management system (EAM), you will plan and execute maintenance activities, coordinate parts procurement, complete scheduled work, and ensure all required documentation is accurately maintained
  • You will work closely with engineering and operations teams, serving as a liaison to help ensure maintenance activities and plant projects are completed safely and on schedule
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documenting completed work in repair logs and maintenance systems will be an important part of the role
  • Success in this position comes from strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to improving equipment performance and plant reliability

  • You will be comfortable working in a variety of industrial environments, including climbing stairs and ladders, working in confined spaces, lifting up to 25 kg, and wearing all required personal protective equipment, including respirators
  • Experience with welding, machining, instrumentation, heavy‑duty mechanical systems, or cryogenic pumps would be considered a strong asset and will help support a wide range of maintenance activities
  • The role is best suited for someone who is safety‑focused, adaptable, and committed to maintaining reliable plant operations through high‑quality maintenance and continuous improvement

This is an existing position with a starting annual salary of $80,000.
