Job summary

EllisDon is seeking a PT Maintenance III / Maintenance Engineer in Ottawa to repair, install and maintain plumbing, mechanical, electrical systems across building utilities. You will follow preventative maintenance schedules to assure optimum performance and stand in for Building Operators during absences, with potential emergency response duties.

Requires Fourth Class Stationary Engineer or equivalent trade license and 3+ years in maintenance/construction.

Qualifications

• Mandatory Fourth Class Stationary Engineer or relevant trade equivalent.
• Must be willing to work evening and weekends.
• Must have and maintain a current license or certification in the trade.
• Experience with all aspects of plumbing and HVAC equipment, as well knowledge of fire alarm systems, water testing equipment, and dietary equipment would be beneficial.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance/construction environment

Responsibilities

• Repair, install, and maintain plumbing, mechanical, electrical equipment and engineered systems including domestic and hot water systems, sanitary and storm drainage, heating, power, ventilation, refrigeration, and air conditioning.
• Perform maintenance per the preventative maintenance schedule to ensure optimum performance of building and utility systems.
• Perform Building Operators’ role during vacation and sickness periods and respond to emergency calls.

You as a PT Maintenance III / Maintenance Engineer will:

Repair, install, and maintain plumbing/mechanical/electrical equipment and engineered systems. These include domestic and hot water systems, sanitary and storm drainage systems, heating, power, ventilation, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems. Also, perform maintenance as per the preventative maintenance schedule with the goal of ensuring optimum performance of building and utility systems. Also, performs Building Operators’ role during vacation and sickness periods, and responds to emergency calls.

Position is 15 hours bi-weekly –Weekend day shift (7am to 3pm Sat and Sun / weekend, evening, holiday and overnight work may be required, as needed)
