Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Landmark, Canada site. The role focuses on maintaining, repairing, and overhauling plant production equipment, along with buildings and grounds, while performing preventative maintenance and supporting equipment modification projects.

Ideal candidates have industrial maintenance experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and knowledge of PLC and controls. A Manitoba Class 5 license is preferred. Work is on-site in Landmark.

Qualifications

• Must have strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment is required.
• Knowledge of PLCs and controls is essential to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and overhaul plant production equipment, buildings and grounds.
• Perform preventative maintenance and improvements on production equipment.
• Support projects including design, installation and commissioning of new or modified equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance inspections, repairs and meter readings.
• Track preventative maintenance on all equipment, machinery and boilers.

Job requirement

• Candidates must be a licensed Industrial Mechanic and must have a practical experience performing as a maintenance technician in an industrial setting to be eligible for this post.
• Candidates must attain excellent mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot to be eligible for this post.
• Candidates must have experience with automated manufacturing equipment to be eligible for this post.
• Candidates at this post must have prior knowledge of PLC and controls to be eligible for this post.
• Applicants must have a valid Manitoba Class 5 driver’s license to get preferred for this post.
