Responsibilities

• As a member of the Maintenance Team, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper care, upkeep, and maintenance of a greenhouse and all onsite facilities.
• The Maintenance Technician will perform routine preventative and predictive maintenance as well as respond to maintenance requests from departments to troubleshoot, identify and repair equipment to limit downtime.
• Working collaboratively with the Maintenance Team, the Maintenance Technician will ensure the facility is in excellent working order including, but not limited to: boilers and heating system, shade and blackout systems, electrical and greenhouse poly.

About You / Qualifications

• Prior experience in maintenance, repair or a related field
• Self-driven, ability to take initiative
• Millwright experience is a strong asset
• Experience working with PVC materials
• Ability to operate and maintain greenhouse equipment, such as irrigation systems, heating, cooling and lighting systems
• Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with all team members
• Live within commuting distance of Iron Springs, AB, or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
