Job summary

Domino's Pizza in Cambridge, Ontario is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, install and troubleshoot equipment in the distribution centre.

You will perform preventative maintenance, service material handling gear, and support HVAC, boiler, and electrical systems while reading blueprints and coordinating with operations. A safety-minded, proactive professional who can work varying shifts is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; some college or technical training.
• 4-8 years related experience.
• Licensed journeyman of related skilled trade.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical/mechanical diagrams.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Good written and verbal communication; strong organization.
• Proactive, safety-minded, and able to work varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, repair, install and troubleshoot equipment in the distribution centre.
• Maintain minor building repairs (painting, plumbing, carpentry, welding).
• Monitor equipment for malfunctions and collaborate on repairs.
• Install, program and troubleshoot PLCs and control systems.
• Maintain HVAC, boiler, water conditioning and distribution systems.
• Service material handling equipment and monitor main electrical panel.

Job Description

Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, repairing, installing, and
troubleshooting machinery and equipment in the distribution centre. They are also responsible for minor building repair and construction which can include painting, plumbing, carpentry, and welding.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
(70%) Equipment Maintenance
Monitor equipment to detect malfunctions
Collaborate with other team members or management on diagnosing problems and repair solutions
Install and repair electrical devices such as transformers, relays, circuit breakers, starters, and
safety and limit switches
Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
Install, program, and troubleshoot automated machinery and programmable logic controllers
Install, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration and heating ventilation air conditioning (HVAC)
Service and repair material handling equipment
Monitor the main electrical panel and troubleshoot as necessary
Maintain and repair the boiler, water heater, water conditioning equipment, and water distribution systems

Resolve complaints about malfunctioning equipment
(15%) Preventative Maintenance
Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment
Accurately complete all necessary paperwork
Report major issues to management

(15%) Building Maintenance
Repair and maintain the facility
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED, some college or technical training
4-8 years of related experience
Licensed journeyman of related skilled trade
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical schematic diagrams, electrical schematic
diagrams, and technical instructions
Basic Microsoft Office skills
Good written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously with strong
attention to detail
Proactive attitude and takes initiative to prevent issues
Well-organized and safety minded
Available to work shifts that may be scheduled anytime during a 24-hour day, over any 7-day
period

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds
frequently and 75 pounds on occasion
Able to balance on ladders, on top of platforms, and equipment
Able to work in refrigerated conditions or extreme temperatures as well as work in an environment with exposure to loud machinery and vibration, both indoors and outdoors
Able to work around yeast and flour
