Qualifications

This position is a Journeyperson Shop Service Technician within the Pump, Electric Motor, Fan and Blower sales, repair and installation industry. It is a Full Time (Permanent) role with an 8-hour weekday shift and overtime as delegated.

What you will do:

  • Contribute your skills to a customer focused culture of technical proficiency and dedication to work safety
  • Diagnose and estimate repairs to Pumps, Electric Motors, Fans and Blowers; familiarity with Smart Pumps, Fire Pumps and VFDs an asset
  • In-shop disassembly and inspection of HVAC, submersible and vertically mounted pumps and motors; disassembly, cleaning, and repair as authorized by the customer
  • Work efficiently in a fast-moving commercial / industrial repair facility. Professional communication skills and dedication to customer service excellence is required

What you will bring:

  • Minimum Grade 12 (Alberta) diploma or out of province equivalent
  • Current status as a journeyperson. Millwright is the preferred trade. EMST and plumber will be considered.
  • You must be capable of operating shop equipment, power and hand tools
  • You should possess excellent mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity; you must supply your mechanical hand tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a professional team environment
  • You must be well organized, detail oriented both in performance of key responsibilities and post-work reporting (paper and digital documentation)

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing for extended periods of time
  • Lifting, pulling, and pushing (up to 50 Lbs.required– over 50 Lbs.discretionary)
