Overview

Maintenance Supervisor MacDonald Search Group has been asked by our food manufacturing client to find a first-class Maintenance Supervisor to join their team in Parry Sound, Ontario. The primary responsibility of this role will be to lead and oversee all maintenance activities within a fast-paced, modern production facility, ensuring maximum equipment uptime, reliability, and compliance with food safety and quality standards. This role will focus heavily on predictive and preventative maintenance process.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of maintenance personnel in a 24 / 7 food manufacturing environment
  • Implement and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
  • Oversee maintenance scheduling, work order management, and spare parts inventory using CMMS tools
  • Collaborate with operations and technical services to support capital investment projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and all health and safety policies while promoting a strong safety culture
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, control costs, and optimize performance
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of maintenance experience in food or beverage manufacturing
  • Proven leadership experience managing maintenance teams
  • Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance best practices
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems (PLC experience an asset)
  • Hands-on approach, strong communication skills, and ability to lead through influence
