Job summary

Nexans USA Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance of equipment, facilities and grounds, and to lead the maintenance department in executing planned work safely and efficiently.

You will guide a team to improve reliability and plant performance, manage staffing, training, and contractor relationships, and drive continuous improvement aligned with Nexans Excellence Way. Join a safety- and quality-focused culture across the Canadian plant.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
• 10 years experience as a Millwright, Industrial Electrician, or Industrial Engineer.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Extensive knowledge of industrial manufacturing systems and components.
• Excellent communication and management skills across functions and cultures.
• Strong commitment to Health & Safety practices.

• Lead, coach and develop the maintenance team to drive high performance.
• Maximize equipment reliability and plant performance via preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Ensure safe, efficient workforce execution through staffing and training management.
• Protect assets and product quality by inspecting equipment, facilities and grounds.

Job description

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll be responsible to coordinate the preventative and corrective maintenance of equipment, surrounding land, and the building, as well as supervise the maintenance department in order to efficiently execute the developed plans.

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

• Lead, coach and develop the maintenance team, fostering a positive, accountable, high-performance culture aligned with Nexans Excellence Way and continuous-improvement practices.
• Maximize equipment reliability and plant performance through effective preventive and corrective maintenance, rapid emergency response, and ongoing improvements to maintenance methods and plans.
• Ensure safe, efficient workforce execution by managing staffing, attendance, leave, labour utilization, training needs, and performance expectations.
• Protect operational assets and product quality through regular inspections of equipment, facilities and grounds, proactively addressing risks affecting safety, reliability, quality and efficiency.
• Partner across the plant to manage contractors, maintenance inventory, projects and environmental initiatives, while maintaining clear communication on priorities, performance, risks and progress.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE ?

• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience
• 10 years experience as a Millwright or Industrial Electrician or Industrial Engineer
• Valid Driver’s License
• Extensive knowledge of industrial manufacturing systems and components.
• Excellent communication and management skills, including the ability to work effectively across functions, cultures, and levels.
