Qualifications

  • Welding and general trade experience is an asset.

The Maintenance Plumber position plays an integral role in the Maintenance department performing plumbing work including repairs, maintenance, installations, and other tasks. This is a great opportunity for a qualified plumber to expand their experience in a hospital environment. The successful candidate must be energetic, personable, and value teamwork and customer service.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Grade 12 OSSD or equivalent
  • Journeyman Plumber with Interprovincial License
  • Backflow prevention certificate
  • Filter One All Fuel Qualification (asset)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Excellent physical condition required due to physical demands, including climbing, handling equipment (20-50 lbs regularly, 100 lbs periodically), and snow clearing.

Experience:

  • Preferred 5 years plumbing experience
  • Experience with medical gases, heating systems, controls, ventilation, refrigeration, pumps, motors, reverse osmosis, VFDs
  • Welding and general trade experience (asset)
