Job summary

Sunrise Farms seeks a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler for our Cambridge, Canada site. This in-office role blends maintenance planning and scheduling, using the FIIX CMMS to organize corrective, preventive, and predictive work and to create, review and close all work orders.

Key duties include coordinating parts with the MRO team, building BOMs, guiding technicians, and aligning maintenance with production downtime.

Qualifications

• Maintenance trade certification or Engineering degree is an asset.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Food Manufacturing industry experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule maintenance work to minimize production impact.
• Create, review, and close all work orders in the FIIX CMMS system.
• Create a Bill of Materials for preventative, predictive and project activities.
• Coordinate parts with the MRO Coordinator to ensure stock for work orders.
• Participate in daily maintenance scheduling meetings.
• Coordinate maintenance technicians for planned activities.
• Review and optimize preventative and predictive maintenance.
• Coordinate production downtime with production and management teams.
• Coordinate contractor work and provide contractor orientation (GMPs).
• Participate in failure analysis and operational improvement initiatives.
• Maintain and ensure compliance with maintenance contracts.

ROLE PURPOSE:

This specialized position blends the key elements of both a maintenance planner and scheduler into one hybrid role. Using the FIIX Computerized Maintenance Management System the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler will effectively plan and schedule the corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities for the maintenance team. Additionally, the Planner/Scheduler is responsible to create, review, and close all work orders within the FIIX CMMS system.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Plan and schedule maintenance work to ensure that work is done efficiently with minimal impact to production
• Create, review, and close all work orders in the FIIX CMMS system
• Create a Bill of Materials for all preventative, predictive and project activities
• Work with the MRO Coordinator to ensure all parts required for Preventive, Predictive and Project work are in stock before issuing a work order to the maintenance team
• Participates in daily maintenance scheduling meetings
• Coordinates work assignments and scheduling of maintenance technicians needed to successfully execute planned maintenance activities
• Continually reviews and optimizes the Preventative and Predictive maintenance activities
• Coordinates production downtime requirements with the production and management teams
• Coordinates contractor work and provides contractor orientation (GMPs)
• Participate in failure analysis and operational improvement initiatives
• Maintain and ensure compliance with maintenance contracts

SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Maintenance trade certification or Engineering degree is considered an asset
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Food Manufacturing industry experience is an asset
