Job summary

A leading consumer goods manufacturer in Brantford, Ontario, seeks a Maintenance Coordinator to manage maintenance activities and contractor performance. About The Role

In this role you will coordinate and support the activities of the Maintenance and Engineering team. The position is responsible for the efficient and effective work plans for all maintenance work ensuring parts are available and ready. Ensuring all internal and external labor resources are available while maintaining open communication within the team. This position is responsible for the tracking of results, recommending and following up on improvements based on best practices

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan all Predictive, Preventive, and Condition Based Maintenance for an assigned area and/or business unit of the facility, in conjunction with the sites production and operational plan, including resource (mechanic, operators, parts, equipment) availability to effectively and efficiently execute activities in a coordinated way. Help prioritize and escalate as necessary critical works.
  • Secure and manage contractors as needed and is responsible for ensuring work is performed according to all Safety standards and requirements.
  • Responsible for managing contractors so they remain in good status in management system (ISN).
  • Safety absolutes champion for specific areas.
  • Manage System Data including ensuring that appropriate information, including BOM's, PM's, etc. are entered into the PM system when a modification, improvement, or addition is made to manufacturing, utilities, and/or other support area equipment.
  • Monitor work order backlog; schedule backlog work in a timely manner to maintain a reasonable level.
  • Monitor/audit Mechanic data entry and quality into PM system. Provide support and training as required to ensure meaningful and comprehensive information is available.
  • Evaluate all notifications, working with Maintenance Manager and Mechanics. Convert to Work Orders or provide feedback to requestors as appropriate.
  • Monitor Workorder Completion, Backlog, and Schedule Compliance to ensure health of maintenance systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects related to maintenance as assigned by working with operations and engineering alike.
  • Generate and distribute KPI, and trend analysis and reports.
Required Experience You’ll Bring
  • 3 years’ experience in a technical field, preferably manufacturing of consumer goods. Or 2 years’ experience in a technical field, preferably manufacturing of consumer good
  • Technical certification or bachelor’s degree. Technical studies or technical bachelor discipline related to Mechanical, E&A, Process, Industrial Engineering Consumer Goods Processing, Hygienic processes, or Proprietary technology.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with CMMS system (SAP, Maximo, MP2, MLS, etc.)
  • Must have continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong analysis skills.
  • Ability to make ongoing judgments and decisions to keep the business functioning at a high level.
  • Ability and willingness to operate and support a positive culture and follow established values.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Accountable for personal development and improvement.
