Metro Vancouver seeks two Maintenance Mechanics for Lake City Operations Centre, Burnaby, to perform preventative and corrective maintenance at water pumping stations and treatment plants. You must be safety‑minded, mechanically capable and able to work collaboratively with Operators.
Requirements include Grade 12 with Heavy Duty Mechanic or Millwright certification, 4+ years of mechanical experience, proficiency with pumps and engines, and CMMS/Excel skills.
(2 Positions) Position Status: Full-Time Regular Department: Water Services Employee Group: GVRDEU Location: Lake City Operations Centre, Burnaby Salary Range/ Wage Rate: $47.88 hourly plus 6.25% deferred compensation (2024 wage rates) This role receives an additional 6.25% deferred compensation on hours worked. The additional 6.25% can be taken as compensation or time off. Our Water Services Department is seeking two (2) Maintenance Mechanics who will safely and efficiently complete preventative and corrective maintenance tasks throughout Metro Vancouver’s water pumping stations and water treatment plants. You are: a career oriented, safety conscious, self-starting individual with good mechanical aptitude, skills and ability, focused on good communication and collaborative teamwork.
