About Canrim Packaging Ltd.

A division of Andrew Peller Ltd., Canrim Packaging has been providing bottling and packaging services since 1994. Based at the Calona Wines/Sandhill Winery facility in downtown Kelowna, we specialise in bottling a diverse portfolio of Andrew Peller branded beverages, including wine, cider, and other alcoholic and non‑alcoholic products. In addition to our premium wines, we produce International Domestic Blend (IDB) wines, combining high‑quality international and Canadian wines. Our IDB products include Cooper Moon, Honest Lot, XOXO, and our popular cider brand No Boats on Sunday.

What This Teammate Will Be Responsible For
  • Lead, coach, and develop a unionised and non‑unionised maintenance team, focusing on growth, training, and engagement.
  • Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of equipment, facilities, and systems in line with regulatory standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance and operational processes, using data, KPIs, and best practices.
  • Manage departmental budgets, resources, and preventative maintenance schedules to optimise performance and cost efficiency.
  • Champion a health & safety‑first culture, leading programmes, inspections, and compliance initiatives to keep everyone safe.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on projects that enhance production, efficiency, and overall operational excellence.
What skills, experience and knowledge this teammate will bring
  • 5+ years of progressive experience including managing and leading teams in a production environment. Previous experience working in liquid processing or food manufacturing environment would be an asset.
  • Exposure and experience managing unionised hourly employees is strongly preferred, in a liquid processing or food manufacturing environment is ideal.
  • Proven track record of developing, coaching, and inspiring employees at all levels to reach their full potential.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills, with a focus on change management and continuous improvement.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and health & safety practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Business Management, Red Seal Trade, or equivalent combination of experience and training is ideal.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, including flexible hours and occasional weekend work during the Harvest period.
