Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the environmental services team in a Mississauga retirement residence. This working manager role involves hands-on maintenance tasks and overseeing housekeeping, maintenance, and repairs to ensure resident safety and comfort.

You will collaborate with executives to deliver a high-quality living environment, uphold sustainability practices, and drive continuous improvement while supporting staff performance and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in environmental services and/or maintenance, preferably in seniors living.
• Experience leading a team, preferably in a unionized environment.
• Knowledge of building systems including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and emergency systems.
• Experience with housekeeping, laundry and maintenance is preferred.
• IPAC and PPE protocols knowledge; JHSC certification or willingness to obtain; working at heights training or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on maintenance support as needed while leading the environmental services team.
• Collaborate with Executive Director and residence leadership to maximize resident satisfaction and safety.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and repairs to maintain building condition and brand standards.
• Promote sustainability practices and eco-conscious operations.
• Support career growth and mentorship within the team.
