Job Description:
- Responsible for the effective running of the plant by implementing, overseeing and coordinating a proper preventative mechanical and electrical maintenance plan. The plan must also include upgrade of existing equipment to improve efficiency.
- Management and technical guidance of mechanical and electrical teams to ensure effective running of the facility and standby personnel.
- Establishes standards and policies of installation, modification, quality control, testing, operating procedure, inspection, and maintenance of equipment, according to engineering principles and safety regulations.
- Directs and ensure maintenance of buildings and premises.
- Management and planning of engineering projects.
- Manage the health and safety of the department according to policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in workshop management in a food manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in plant engineering and maintenance.
- Experience in electrical systems.
- Workable knowledge of Computer – Inventor, MS Word, MS Projects, Excel and INTACCT.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety relevant to workshop practice.
- Experience in HACCP and FSSC quality systems.
- Diploma or degree in mechanical Engineering or appropriate qualification in engineering.
- Qualification in Project Management.
- Knowledge of PLC systems will be an advantage to the applicant.
