Job summary

Germain Hôtels in Canada seeks a Maintenance Manager to oversee indoor and outdoor maintenance with a high level of responsibility, working largely independently in coordination with all hotel departments.

You will inspect equipment, lead preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety and building codes while maintaining all mechanical systems and assisting with lifting and moving tasks as needed.

• Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing of objects by moving up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
• Responsible for maintaining all mechanical components of the building.
• Perform minor electrical work (ex: changing light bulbs).
• Ensure that service manuals are followed during preventive maintenance, repair, or replacement of systems or components and adhere to sound engineering practices, building codes and health & safety precautions

Job description

The Maintenance Manager performs indoor and outdoor general maintenance work. They will need to show a high level of responsibility since they will perform most of their tasks independently in cooperation with all other departments of the hotel.

What You'll Bring

• Experience in building maintenance
• High school Diploma or College diploma in mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering, or an equivalent is an asset
• In good physical condition, capable of handling heavy materials and performing labour intensive duties such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 100 pounds without assistance.
