Position Summary

The Maintenance Manager will oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, including preventative maintenance, repairs, and compliance with safety regulations. This role is critical in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Job Duties:
  • Manage daily operations of the maintenance department, including supervision of maintenance staff.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and building codes.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized services.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues.
  • Support capital improvement projects and renovations.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a maintenance or facilities management role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation and safety standards in Ontario.
