Qualifications

Job description

Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.

SUMMARY

A maintenance laborer primarily inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair around the fabrication shop. This work may be physically demanding and may exist indoors or outdoors.

Anticipated Start Date: 2025-11-10

Shift: Monday-Friday

JOB DUTIES
  • Tasks
    • Inspect, diagnose, and solve problems with machines and buildings
    • Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts
    • Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs
    • Plan repair work as needed
    • Perform general repairs
    • Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
    • Take preventative measures to ensure the life and functioning of various types of equipment
    • Coordinate with subcontractors
    • Operate overhead crane
    • Organize tools and materials as required
    • Rig spools, materials, and equipment
    • Move materials using manual lifting / handling, pallet jack, or equipment
  • Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience using hand and electrical tools
  • Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
  • Previous experience working on an industrial site is considered an asset, but not required
  • CSTS-09 or CSTS-20
  • Overhead crane and rigging ticket / training
  • Counter balanced forklift ticket
  • Must be physically able to lift 50lbs
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to cope with stress
  • Experience in fabricating/welding structural components is an asset
