Job summary

Grain Millers Canada is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Journeyperson Welder/Millwright/Machinist in Yorkton, SK. The role focuses on installation, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment, with daily maintenance and troubleshooting on site.

The ideal candidate will hold a Journeyperson ticket or have completed at least 2nd year of relevant schooling, with welding experience and experience in mechanical, hydraulics, automation and pneumatic maintenance.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyperson ticket in an applicable trade (Millwright, Welding, Machinist, etc.) or have completed at least your 2nd year of relevant schooling.
• Previous welding experience is required.
• Industrial mechanical experience in a food grade facility is a definite asset.
• Experience and ability in mechanical, hydraulics, automation and pneumatic maintenance in troubleshooting and repairing automated packaging equipment would be beneficial.
• Experience in high-quality installations, repairs, and maintenance of all mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment on site

We are looking for a Permanent Full-Time Journeyperson Welder/Millwright/Machinist in Yorkton. This is a shift position with a fixed schedule.

This position is responsible for the completion of thorough high-quality installations, repair, and maintenance of various equipment on site. Duties include routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs. Includes Daily maintenance of the plant equipment. Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions. Operate machine tools to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machineries. Review and follow highly technical and complex machinery manuals and other duties as required from time to time.

Essential Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Journeyperson ticket in an applicable trade (Millwright, Welding, Machinist, etc.) or have completed at least your 2nd year of relevant schooling.

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Must be able to work independently in all weather conditions and be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
