Job summary

Grande Yellowhead Public School Division in Alberta is seeking a Maintenance III Journeyman Plumber/Gas Fitter. Under the supervision of the Director and Manager of Facilities, you will conduct facility assessments and handle the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plumbing, gas fitting, boiler, and RTU systems.

The role includes travel between Hinton, Jasper, and Grande Cache sites as required. Immediate start date; 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Valid journeyman's certificate with gas fittings.
• Valid Class 5 Drivers license or higher if required.
• Other valid certificates as required by Facilities (First Aid, WHMIS, Fire Extinguishers).
• Technology and computer skills (e-mail, computerized inventory control programs, computerized maintenance programs).
• Must be self-motivated, self-directed with the ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and as a team player.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Physical ability to perform required duties.
• HVAC Certification would be an assets but not required.
• Must have an understanding of RTU's and Boiler Systems.

We Are Accepting Applications For The Following

Position: Maintenance III Journeyman Plumber/Gas Fitter

Location(s): The Learning Connection, Hinton, Alberta

Start Date: Immediately or upon mutually agreeable start date.

Hours: 40 hours per week (8.0 hours per day, Monday - Friday)

Wage Rate: $42.02 - $46.16, in accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement
