Maintenance Generalist
A Shift
Monday-Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm
This position is responsible for the repairs and preventative maintenance of all equipment associated with a warehouse shipping department while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Must have 1 year maintenance experience within the immediate last 2 years.
Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system.
Must be willing to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.
Must be willing to lift to 70 lbs. occasionally and be able to work on your feet, moving throughout the facility for a period of 12 hours.
Must be willing to work in temperatures ranging from about -10°F to about 110°F occasionally.
Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.
Other Duties: Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electric pallet moving equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on building and grounds. Perform preventative maintenance on batteries, battery chargers, battery racks, and carts as needed. Train in safety procedures. Other duties as assigned.
Mechanic to provide their own general maintenance tools. Larger and powered tools provided by Tyson.
Proficiency in reading and writing.
Ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels.
