Maintenance Foreperson – Heavy Equipment Morgan Construction & Environmental Ltd (Jasper, Alberta)

Job Type: Full‑time
Shift: 12‑hour (days and nights), rotation 14/14
Location: Jasper, Alberta

At Morgan we don’t just build projects—we build careers and futures. We’re seeking a dedicated Maintenance Foreperson to oversee heavy equipment maintenance across our projects and ensure safety, quality, and profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee field staff and maintain equipment safety and operating quality.
  • Identify potential hazards, implement precautionary measures, and enforce safe work practices.
  • Coordinate and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring job sites remain operational.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, prepare activity reports, and maintain accurate time‑sheet records.
  • Collaborate with foremen, coordinators, and equipment teams on mobilization, demobilization, and vendor maintenance schedules.
  • Attend daily and weekly meetings to report on safety, equipment status, and cost tracking.
  • Enforce Morgan’s safety culture, PPE policies, and site‑specific safety rules.
  • Provide on‑site leadership, fostering productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Possess strong judgement, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to handle noise, vibration, and diverse weather conditions.
  • Maintain other duties as assigned.
Experience / Qualification Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive experience leading a heavy equipment maintenance team.
  • Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment maintenance experience.
  • Interprovincial Red Seal HET or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience leading teams in various locations is preferred.
  • Valid safety training tickets (CSO/BSO/CSTS‑09/OSSA Regional), First Aid with CPR & AED, H2S Alive, Bear Awareness, and a valid driver’s license.
  • Appropriate safety boots (≥6″ high & fully laceable).
  • Ability to perform physical tasks up to 50 lbs and work a 12‑hour shift schedule.
