Job description

Role: Maintenance Engineer

Shift: Mon-Fri Days

Salary: £42,000 - £48,000

Location: Newmarket

The Company

Our client is a massive manufacturing and processing company with footing in various processing industries. As a business they turnover £300 million a year and they supply their services to the biggest supermarkets and chains in the UK. This company has consistently invested £10 million per year in new automated equipment, machinery and Continuous Improvement projects for you to get working on. They will be investing £2 million in brand-new PLC equipment! They are looking for another motivated Maintenance Engineer to work on their brand-new equipment and bagging/packing lines!

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Fault finding on electrical components such as sensors, relays, contactors, inverters etc.
  • Swapping out mechanical components like belts, bearings, sprockets, chains etc.
  • Working on new and automated conveyors, bagging machines, elevators, blowers, packaging machines etc.
  • Performing Reactive maintenance and PPMs
About You

The ideal Maintenance Engineer will have the following:

  • A recognised engineering qualification
  • Experience with, or a flexible mindset for, working effectively within a team
  • Proven ability to work cohesively in an engineering environment
  • A sound understanding of key electrical and mechanical components
