Job summary

Martinrea International Inc. is a diversified and global automotive supplier actively seeking a maintenance coordinator to prepare documentation for maintenance activities and coordinate releases.

The role involves reviewing and filing maintenance records and ensuring PMs are properly documented. Ideal candidates will have strong computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to read drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

  • Strong computer proficiency and Microsoft Office.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of standards: ISO, IATF, OHSA.
  • Knowledge of LOTO, energy control and safety procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, specs and manuals.
  • Skilled trades experience an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop CMS.
  • Ensure lubricants and coolants are in stock for equipment.
  • Ensure spare parts inventory and materials available for PM activities.
  • Generate and track work orders for cleaning and housekeeping to support PM schedule.
  • Keep maintenance records for inquiries or audits.
  • Enter and update preventive maintenance work instructions.
  • Schedule and coordinate all PM for maintenance department.
  • Enter completed PM work instructions into the system.
  • Investigate damaged or defective parts and follow up on warranty.
  • Advise Maintenance Manager on PM reports and parts needed.
  • Prepare PM work instructions for new equipment.
  • Maintain schematics and drawing library.
  • Produce daily KPI reports for maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental and OHSA regulations.

Job Summary

Responsible for preparing documentation and releases/ coordination for maintenance activities, as well as reviewing, adjusting and filing all maintenance records

Required Education & Experience
  • Strong computer proficiency, proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills
  • Technically proficient, self‑motivated, self starter
  • Knowledge of E‑Maint system, CMS system preferred
  • Knowledge of industry standards (ISO, IATF, OHSA, PHSR)
  • Knowledge of blocking, LOTO, and energy control
  • Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, and manuals
  • Ability to develop technical reports
  • Knowledge and experience in Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Skilled trades experience an asset
Essential Functions
  • Maintain and develop CMS
  • Ensure all necessary lubricants and coolants are in stock for equipment.
  • Ensures that all spare parts inventory and materials are available for planned PM activities
  • Generate work orders for cleaning and housekeeping activities that compliment PM schedule
  • Keep maintenance records in the office for inquiries or audits
  • Generate and update Preventative and Predictive maintenance work instructions for all equipment, and enters into system
  • Schedule and coordinate all PM's for maintenance department
  • Create and Track work orders
  • Enter and close PM's in the E‑Maint work order system
  • Ensure that rebuild/ repair to spare parts are completed in a timely manner and re-entered into stock
  • Investigate damaged or defective parts to determine if covered under warranty and follows up on such parts accordingly
  • Advise Maintenance Manager/ Supervisor of PM reports involving; equipment problems, and requested parts needed for equipment repair work
  • Enter completed preventative maintenance work instructions into system. Updates any changes or modifications to work instructions
  • Prepare work orders and ensures audits are being performed. Ensures work orders are completed in a timely manner
  • Prepare PM work instructions for new equipment
  • Maintain schematics and drawing library
  • Make daily reports on the KPI's of the maintenance department.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards and legislation including Environmental Legislation, O. Reg 851 for Industrial Establishments, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (with emphasis on Section 28)
  • Abide by all Company policies including, but not limited to Health & Safety, Quality & Environmental Systems, HR policies and Martinrea Employee Handbook
Work Environment
  • 50% Office environment, 50% Plant floor (PPE required)
  • Constant communication with employees, peers, and management
  • Overtime as required
Physical Demands
  • Ability to work on computer for long periods of time
  • Ability to be present on the production floor daily
  • Must be able to lift up to 35lbs.
  • Must be able to work with push pull forces of up to 50lbs. or less
Health, Safety and Environment:
  • Must work in accordance with health and safety regulations, company rules, plant rules, policies and procedures
  • Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or certain clothing as required by the company.
  • All employees are prohibited from walking under a suspended hoist, cranes or forklifts.
  • All employees must follow all LOTO procedures
  • Comply with all environmental requirements including our recycling program.
