Position Summary

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Assistant supports daily maintenance operations across the resort, including facilities, equipment, and grounds. This is an hourly role with a flexible schedule over five days per week. The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of all resort areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Maintenance Manager with daily maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections.
  • Perform general maintenance duties such as painting, patching, fixture repairs, basic carpentry, and minor plumbing/electrical troubleshooting.
  • Complete work orders and respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct routine inspections of resort facilities and identify areas requiring repair or maintenance.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance programs and equipment servicing.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organised manner.
  • Support inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and report hazards or concerns promptly.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in maintenance, trades, or facility operations is an asset.
  • Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks safely and efficiently (painting, patching, small repairs, minor plumbing/electrical troubleshooting).
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills and a positive, team‑oriented attitude.
  • Able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s licence is an asset.
  • Eligible to work in Canada full‑time.
  • Flexibility to work a 5‑day schedule, including occasional weekends or evenings as required.
