Canda Six Fortune Enterprise Co. Ltd. is a leading importer and distributor of Asian food products from the Pacific Rim and other regions. We are expanding and seeking a Mainstream Food Service Sales Representative to join our team. This position can be based in British Columbia, Alberta, or Ontario, supporting our portfolio with chain restaurants.

Position Summary :

The Mainstream Food Service Sales Representative reports to the National Sales Department Manager – Mainstream Food Service in BC. The role focuses on business development and account management with Food Service Distributors.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Generate new business with food service distributors through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and relationship building.
  • Develop and expand the food listing base with existing customers and distributors.
  • Evaluate customer needs and analyze market trends to develop customer-focused product offerings.
  • Utilize negotiation skills to manage and maintain profitable margins.
  • Create territory-specific strategies to increase market share, including tactics, activities, and resources.
  • Plan and forecast supply chain needs with the Purchasing Department.
  • Demonstrate thorough product knowledge.
  • Deliver presentations and perform food demonstrations to distributors and restaurants.

Requirements / Must-Haves :

  • 1-2 years of sales experience in the food service industry dealing with customers and distributors.
  • Reliable vehicle and full driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Persuasive communication and strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to handle sales pressure and client objections independently.
  • Proficiency with PC tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to lift/carry cases up to 20kg.
  • Confidence and motivation to grow the business.
  • Good multi-tasking, organizational, and prioritization skills.

Assets / Nice-to-Haves :

  • Proficiency in French.
  • Experience in the Asian food and seafood industry.
