Job summary

Alberta Health Services seeks an MRI Technologist I (0.8 FTE) at Chinook Regional Hospital, Lethbridge. You will produce diagnostic MRI images, position patients, and assist physicians with interpretation in a fast-paced Diagnostic Imaging unit.

Requires MRI program diploma/certification, CAMRT eligibility, and BCLS-HCP; IV/CVAD authorization is also required. This temporary role offers a great work-life balance and a recruitment incentive per pay period.

We are looking for a temporary 0.8 FTE MRI technologist to help us deliver exceptional care to patients of the Southwest corridor. Description:

As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist I, you will produce and record magnetic resonance images for interpretation by a Radiologist or Cardiologist for the purpose of diagnosis and tracking of disease and pathology. You will produce high quality diagnostic MRI images as ordered by a Physician, prepare and position patients for examination, review patient history, explain procedures, respond to the physical and psychological needs of patients throughout the scanning procedure, and maintain MRI equipment.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Resonance Imaging (MRI) Program required or completion of certificate from an accredited MRI Technologist program plus a diploma from an accredited Program in Medical Radiology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound), Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy.Active or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

IV/CVAD Authorization.
