Job summary

Velan Inc. is seeking machinists for the evening and night shifts to support operations. The role involves setting up CNC machines, reading drawings, and adjusting programs, reporting to the Supervisor, Operations.

Candidates should have at least two years of CNC experience, be proficient in interpreting technical documents, and able to work independently with metrology knowledge. Montreal-based position with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience on a CNC machining center.
• Good knowledge of the programming language of numerical control machines.
• Good knowledge of metrology.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical documents.
• Ability to set up work independently.
• Ability to select measuring instruments and adjust tools and machining parameters.

• Perform all types of set-up on CNC machines.

• Make minor adjustments to CNC machines.
• In collaboration with the programmer, modify programs and make changes as required.

We are currently looking for machinists on the evening shift and the night shift who will report to the Supervisor, Operations and help support our operations by performing the adjustments, set‑ups, and maintenance of our CNC machines.
