Qualifications

  • Experience with large/heavy parts and overhead crane operation is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of machining practices, setups, and blueprint reading.

We are currently seeking askilled and reliable Machinist – Horizontal Boring Mill Operatorto join our growing team.

What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have experience operatinglarge horizontal boring mills (manual or CNC)to machine precision parts to tight tolerances. We're looking for someone with:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate horizontal boring mills to produce custom, high-precision components
  • Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Select proper tooling and machining parameters for a variety of materials
  • Ensure parts meet tight tolerances using precision measuring instruments
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machines
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of machining experience, preferably withhorizontal boring mills
  • Experience withlarge/heavy partsandoverhead crane operationis an asset
  • Strong understanding of machining practices, setups, and blueprint reading
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
