Arrow Machine and Fabrication Group is seeking an experienced Machinist to set up, program, and operate CNC machines for drilling, milling and turning. You will interpret blueprints and GD&T, select tools, and optimize speeds/feeds for precision parts.
The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, 5+ years in precision machining, and the ability to work with CAD/CAM data (Mastercam). Night shift is available with travel between Cambridge and Woodstock.

The Machinist is responsible setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to perform various tasks such as drilling, milling, and turning. This role requires a combination of technical skills, precision, and problem-solving abilities to ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience in precision machining, and is skilled at interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience setting up and machining medium to large parts on horizontal machining centers and boring mills
Proven experience machining large castings and weldments
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and GD&T
Strong understanding of tool selection, speeds, feeds, and cutting parameters for a variety of materials
Familiar with Fanuc CNC controls and Renishaw probing systems
Comfortable building, setting up, and picking up tooling
Proficient in using a variety of inspection tools such as micrometers, verniers, calipers, and height gauges
Capable of troubleshooting machine-related functional issues
Hands-on experience with overhead cranes, including safe rigging and manipulation of large components (up to 15,000 lbs)
Solid understanding of welding and fabrication processes
Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor and coach other machinists/operators
Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Must be flexible to work either shift, depending on operational needs. Days 6:00 am to 2:00 pm and afternoons 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Occasional travel between the Cambridge and Woodstock locations.
