Job summary

EPIQ is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure products meet internal quality standards and customer requirements. You will perform dimensional and visual inspections of machined and welded components, inspect incoming equipment, and prepare inspection reports.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the role requires 5+ years in mechanical manufacturing QA, knowledge of metrology, and proficiency with Excel and ERP data entry.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance or inspection within a mechanical manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of machining processes and metrology.
  • Understanding of machining manufacturing methods used to produce stationary equipment components.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to communicate in French and English.

Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections of machined and welded components.
  • Inspect incoming equipment and subcontracted fabricated parts.
  • Develop inspection and test plans and inspection reports.
  • Prepare and follow up on non-conformance reports.
  • Ensure all required inspections and verifications are completed prior to customer delivery.
  • Enter data into the ERP system.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of quality processes.
  • Carry out other related duties as assigned.

More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
  • Performing dimensional and visual inspections of machined and/or welded components.
  • Inspecting incoming equipment and subcontracted fabricated parts.
  • Developing inspection and test plans as well as inspection reports.
  • Preparing and following up on non-conformance reports.
  • Ensuring all required inspections and verifications are completed prior to customer delivery.
  • Performing material identification and entering data into the ERP system.
  • Participating in the continuous improvement of quality processes.
  • Carrying out any other related duties associated with the position.
What we are looking for:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or inspection within a mechanical manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of machining processes and metrology.
  • Understanding of machining manufacturing methods used to produce various components for stationary equipment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word).
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in both French and English to support our English-speaking clientele.
