What You’ll Do:

As a machine operator in our Galvanizing Department, you will play an important role in producing high quality product while safely operating equipment. T his role requiresmembership in the Teamsters Union, Local 213.

You will be trained and responsible for operating all aspects of the Galvanizing Lines specifically including, but not limited to:

  • Cleaning the zinc and lead furnaces/tanks as required.
  • Correctly welding the full range of low and high carbon wires.
  • Follow inventory control procedures.
  • Select bright wire per work instructions.
  • Follow work instructions and manufacturing procedures.
  • Keep track of balances and changeovers.
  • Maintain all process parameters within specified control limits.
  • Perform all product inspections required to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Understanding the galvanizing process and the factors in controlling the weight of coat and finish.
  • Other duties as required.

Compensation & Shift Rotation

The position rate of pay is up to $38.42/hr including base pay ($32.03/hr), hardship premium ($3.20/hr), continuous shift premium ($1.75/hr), night shift premium ($0.80/hr) where applicable. In addition, there is a department incentive plan based on productivity.

Work Schedule.

Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:00am to 6:00pm/6:00pm to 6:00am).
