Work Schedule: Day Shift: Monday – Friday; 6:30 am – 3:00pm (40hrs per week)

Are you passionate aboutfabrication? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual for ourfabrication function. As anMachine Operator (Fabrication) you will be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. You will work in a production environment, engage in continuous productive activity and must meet requirements within predetermined time constraints. Tasks require the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, adjust and operate CNC machines (TC5000, Laser, Brake Press, Form Brake, Cincinnati 500-TON, TRUMPF 5320) according to work orders and specifications, with minor programming
  • Use manual pump trucks, cranes (overhead / jib) and lift devices as required to move material and finished product(s)
  • Monitor machine operation and troubleshoot issues as needed
  • Ensure parts are manufactured in accordance with quality standards, target plans, and verify correct run quantities
  • Visually inspect parts after each machine cycle and perform inspections as required
  • Optimize the running of parts to best take advantage of the machine’s operating time
  • Filling out production boards with output for the shift, as well as assisting in planning the afternoon shift production
  • Maintain the cleanliness ofthe work area and follow organizational practices

What you’ll Need To Succeed:

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum 3 months experience as a CNC Machine Operator
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • The ability to read and interpret blueprints and use calipers, micrometers, go no-go gauges, etc.
  • Excellent mechanical/mathematical aptitude and manual dexterity
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced work environment with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lift up to 22 lbs.

Physical demands:

  • Standing: All tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.
  • Lifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs to 20 lbs.
  • Walking: Occasional walking moderate distances (less than 1km).
  • Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 20 lbs.
  • Pushing: Occasional pushing of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs.
  • Pulling: Occasional pulling of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs.
  • Bending: Frequent bending and crouching to safely lift parts of various sizes and shapes.
  • Reaching: Continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees.
  • Handling: Continuous handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 20 lbs.
