Fresh Start Foods is currently hiring a full-time Machine Operator who is eager to work in a fast-paced team-oriented work environment in our Richmond, BC location. The Machine Operator operates various production, processing, and packaging machines.

Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: $19.75/hour (paid on a weekly basis!)

Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm, Sundays when needed

Responsibilities

• Operates specific production machines safely and efficiently.
• Works with production supervisors and managers to schedule production on specified equipment.
• Follows company-standardized pack specifications along with any customer-specified deviations, as communicated through special instructions via work orders/cut tickets.
• Follows the company's detailed product specifications.
• Performs Quality Control checks and communicates any defects to supervisors and managers.
• Communicates with production supervisors and managers regarding maintenance concerns and PM scheduling.
• Offers assistance to other team members.
• Follows and maintains all Quality Assurance, HACCP, SQF requirements, and Occupational Health & Safety regulations and ensures all employees in their department follow them.
• Performs any other duties as required.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

• Previous manufacturing experience in a food processing facility
• Basic machine operational knowledge (turning machines on/off, changing programs, and re-tooling basics)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
• Must be able to work on weekends and holidays
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to work independently or within a team environment
• Must adhere to all safety regulations and procedures
• Follows the company's Quality Control procedures
